The English Department organised an engaging Declamation Competition for students of Classes 5 to 7, giving them an opportunity to bring the words and personalities of different characters to life.
Students delivered speeches from various characters, using expressive voices, appropriate gestures and confident stage presence. Each performance showcased the students’ preparation, creativity and ability to convey the emotions and personality of the character they portrayed.
The activity provided a stimulating platform for students to develop their public speaking, pronunciation, voice modulation, expression and stage confidence. It also encouraged them to interpret their characters thoughtfully and communicate their ideas with clarity and impact.
The enthusiastic performances made the competition a lively and enriching experience, fostering a love for language, literature and effective communication.
